Entry Requirements

  • To ensure a place on the course of your choice, the College strongly recommends that applicants enrol early by completing and signing the application form and returning with a booking deposit of €250. Application forms which are not signed cannot be processed. Forms will be accepted at the College reception, by fax or by post. Upon receipt of a successful application, formal notification of acceptance and of course commencement dates and fees will be sent to the applicant by post, e-mail or fax.
  • The College makes every effort to avoid altering course commencement and conclusion dates. However, should any changes be necessary, applicants will be notified at the earliest possible opportunity.
  • Students are requested to provide two passport photographs (signed at the back) with the application form. These photographs are used for the HSI Limerick Business School Student ID card, and a card will only be issued if the photographs are supplied. If an applicant does not require this card, it is not necessary to submit any photographs. Students are advised that valid photo id (passport, driver’s license, college id) must be presented at all formal examinations in the College.

Terms & Conditions

  • HSI Limerick Business School reserves the right to modify the contents of its courses and also reserves the right not to provide an advertised course if an insufficient number of students apply. Students will be notified of any such changes at the earliest opportunity.
  • It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that he/she fulfils the minimum entry requirements for a chosen course, and to ensure that the chosen course is suitable for his/her needs and ability level.
  • A deposit of €250 should be included with the application form. Should an applicant decide not to attend the course, he/she must advise the Evening Course and Accounts Administrator of this at least 7 working days before the course commencement date, in which case the deposit is refunded less an administration fee of €75. However, no refund can be made if this period of notice is not given by the applicant.
  • When a course is under-subscribed and does not commence, a full refund of all fees paid is given.
  • There are no other circumstances in which tuition fees are refunded to applicants.
  • Fee refunds are not given to any student who has attended lectures or for any student who commences a course and subsequently feels that the course does not suit him/her.
  • For all courses, particularly those with formal entry requirements, the onus is on the applicant to check that he/she has the necessary qualifications. Should an applicant enrol on a course and subsequently find that he/she is not eligible, no refund can be given.
  • All fees must be paid 7 working days prior to course commencement. Cheques should be made payable to HSI Limerick Business School.
  • Examination and registration fees payable to external examining bodies are not included in the tuition fee. In the majority of cases, examination and registration fees as advertised in the College brochure and on the website are payable to the College in advance of course commencement – the Course Co-ordinator will then forward such fees directly to the relevant awarding bodies.
  • The examination and registration fees advertised are correct at the time of going to print. Should an external awarding body change these fees at any time, HSI Limerick Business School will advise students directly and students will be required to pay the revised fee.
  • Certain courses may be eligible for tax relief and/or FAS funding. It is the applicant’s responsibility to check the details of such schemes prior to enrolment in the College.
  • Every effort will be made by the College to assist applicants with disabilities or medical conditions. Such applicants are required to inform the College of any medical condition or disability which may affect attendance at the College or which may require the College to make additional provisions e.g. ground-floor room, computer facilities for examinations.
  • Examination dates for the majority courses are set at the start of the academic year. However, these dates may of necessity change. Final examination dates will be posted on the main noticeboard in the College at least 6 weeks prior to the examination date - all final examinations are held during the day.
